GREAT WOLF RESORTS, INC. ANNOUNCES CONCORD, N.C. AS SITE OF NEXT GREAT WOLF LODGE
Family Indoor Waterpark Resort to Break Ground Later this Year in Metropolitan Charlotte Region

(Madison, Wis. – September 21, 2007) – Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. (NASDAQ: WOLF), North America’s leading family of indoor waterpark resorts, today announced it will officially break ground on its eleventh Great Wolf Lodge® resort in Concord, N.C. later this year. The company has purchased the site for its 402-suite, four-story, northwoods-themed resort. The City of Concord, Cabarrus County, Cabarrus County Economic Development and the Cabarrus Convention & Visitors Bureau were instrumental in bringing the Great Wolf Lodge family indoor waterpark resort to the area.

Once complete, Great Wolf Lodge will be a first-class, full-service, family destination resort. Serving as North Carolina’s Year-Round Family Resort ™, Great Wolf Lodge will provide a comprehensive package of family entertainment and lodging amenities including: 402 all-suite guest rooms; a 98,000 square-foot indoor entertainment area which will feature North Carolina’s largest indoor waterpark; 16,000 square feet of meeting space; multiple food outlets including a bar and grille and a gourmet buffet and food court; a confectionery café; a Starbucks Coffee® shop; a Pizza Hut Express®; a spa featuring Aveda® products; a kid spa featuring ice cream-themed products; a children’s craft and activity room focusing on “edutainment;” a 100-game arcade with ticket redemption; MagiQuest, a live action fantasy adventure game; a themed, interactive 18-hole outdoor miniature golf course; a tech center with Internet stations and movie and musical entertainment; a fitness center; a gift emporium; and an animated clock tower.

“As an established family destination market, Concord is a desirable area as we expand further into the southeast,” said John Emery, chief executive officer of Great Wolf Resorts. “We are building in a prime location near such notable attractions as Concord Mills Mall and Lowes Motor Speedway. Additionally, Great Wolf Lodge will complement the many area attractions as a unique, year-round lodging experience for both leisure and business travelers.”

Great Wolf Lodge will be located off of Speedway Boulevard and Interstate 85 in the City of Concord and is currently expected to open in 2009. For more information on Great Wolf Resorts and its brands of indoor waterpark resorts, visit greatwolf.com.
