January 26- May 4 - Animal Secrets In "Animal Secrets" families will learn the answers to every day life questions about animals and explore the hidden habitats and secret lives of forest animals. Held at the Virginia Living Museum.  Tickets available at the Concierge Desk.

May 24-25 - Civil War Weekend at Yorktown Battlefield Spend Memorial Day Weekend in Williamsburg and attend Yorktown's annual Civil War Weekend celebration. The event pays homage to the area's role in the Civil War, and highlights of the event will include:  Encampments Walking tours Military demonstrations Field medical demonstrations Campfire programs Wreath-laying ceremonies at Yorktown National Cemetery & Confederate Cemetery You'll also enjoy the sounds of the fife and drum during Civil War music demonstrations, weapon demonstrations and more.

May 10 - Jamestown Landing Day Maritime demonstrations and interpretive activities exploring contact between European and Virginia Indian cultures mark the 401st anniversary of the founding of America's first permanent English colony.  Tickets available at the Concierge Desk.

May 3 - Children's Festival of Friends Join thousands of families from around the country at the Children's Festival of Friends at Newport News Park. This annual festival will feature favorite characters from books like Where the Wild Things Are, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, and more! The festival will feature nine pavilions that include more than 100 hands-on activities, plus rides, entertainment, music, food and more! May 5-11 - Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill Be sure you're on the golf course at Kingsmill Resort for the Michelob ULTRA Open in Williamsburg. The top professional golfers in the world, such as Annika Sorenstam and Jennifer Rosales, will be on hand to challenge defending champion Cristie Kerr for a share of the $2.2 million prize purse. Aside from the fierce competition on the course, other special events are planned throughout the week. Three pro-am events, a fashion show, and a junior clinic will also be featured. May 17-18 - Colonial Craftsman's Faire Step back in time at the Colonial Craftman's Faire at Endview Plantation. Visitors will see nationally renowned craftsmen including furniture-makers, spinners, pewtersmyths, basket weavers, dollmakers, weavers and more. These talented artisans will be dressed in colonial attire as they offer demonstrations of their craft and have a selection of goods and wares for sale. Live entertainment will highlight the event, including colonial music offered by the Itinerant Band, a slackrope performer & juggler, door prizes and more. There will also be plenty of interactive family fun, spectacular food and other activities! Visitors can also enjoy a living history lesson as Revolutionary War re-enactors take guests back to 1769 with exhibits that center on family life and military drills & demonstrations!
